6 th Summit Overview
The cold chain has become a vital part of the supply chain of perishable produce. In last few years, along with the efforts of NCCD, there have been a shift towards realizing the importance of an efficient cold chain as a supply chain system in India by both the industry and the policy makers and they have responded to this in their own way.
The cold chain industry is emerging as a fast-growing business sector in India, with developments in the food processing sector, organized retail and government initiatives driving growth.
In order to understand and develop a roadmap for creating a robust value chain, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Food Processing Industries and National Center for Cold Chain Development (NCCD) is organizing the 6th National Cold Chain Summit on 27th October 2016, in New Delhi. The theme of the summit is Cold Chain: Enabling 2nd green Revolution.
