Developing the ESGN Ecosystem with Benchmarking of Food and Agriculture Sector

Building on the outcome of the first UN Summit 2021 and the subsequent pilot benchmarking exercise based on World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) toolkit in the Indian Food and Agriculture space, CII-FACE in partnership with WBA, Food Foundation UK and Food Future Foundation conducted two Sensitization Workshops and the 1st Edition of the Assessor Training Workshop to develop the ecosystem on Environment, Social Inclusion , Governance and Nutrition towards enabling capacity building on Food Systems Transformation.

The interactive Sensitization program on Environment, Social, Governance and Nutrition (ESGN) provided a platform for industry representatives for mutual learning while international experts from WBA and FF UK shared global best practices.

Subsequently the 1st Assessor Training Workshop deliberated around the 3 much needed transformations on:

The Workshop helped develop capability of the first pool of 18 certified Benchmarking ESGN assessors on in-house implementation as well as internal and external evaluation to identify strengths, opportunities for improvement and stimulate appropriate solutions.
